Child Care

The first years of a child’s life can have a profound effect on their future development and health. Child care providers can be active partners with families to minimize contact with toxic chemicals, but it isn’t always obvious where they lurk, or how to avoid them.

We partner with Child Care Resource and Referral agencies to educate child care providers in the Great Lakes Basin, Southern Tier, and Capital Region about common toxic chemicals and how to choose safer products. Thus far, we have trained over 700 providers from 300 facilities.
