Gabrielle came to New York from Portland, Oregon. She got a BS in Environmental Sciences from Portland State University. She has always enjoyed hiking and being out in the environment. She wanted to find a career that would align with her passions as well as make a positive influence on the world. Along her journey she had done community work in Portland and grew strong roots there. She also has done internships that worked with animals, but found that her passion was truly in water quality and environmental justice. As a Chicana woman she hopes to elevate populations that are often overlooked and create a fair playing field on the most basic level of a healthy environment.
