Bobbi Wilding, ms

Bobbi Wilding, MS, is the co-founder of Clean and Healthy New York with over twenty years of environmental health advocacy experience. She leads the national Getting Ready for Baby campaign. She is author and co-author of many of CHNY’s reports, including The Mattress Still Matters, focused on materials used in crib mattresses, and New York State’s Environmental Health Leadership: A Roadmap for a Just, Nontoxic, Sustainable Circular Economy, as well as the Childhood Cancer Prevention Inititiative’s Childhood Cancer: Cross-Sector Strategies for Prevention.

Wilding has served on the advisory board of the NYS Pollution Prevention Institute since its inception, is a long-time member of the Interstate Chemicals Clearinghouse, and serves on the advisory committee of the NYS Children’s Environmental Health Centers.  She is on the leadership team of the Childhood Cancer Prevention Initiative, and serves on the Steering Committee for Safer States. She regularly presents at national events including for the International Consumer Product Safety Organization and the American Public Health Association. Prior to founding Clean and Healthy New York, she worked for Citizens’ Environmental Coalition and the New York Public Interest Research Group. She holds both a BS in Environmental Science and an MS in Ecological Economics, Values, and Policy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Wilding is the recipient of a 2019 Children’s Environmental Health Champion award from the NYS Children’s Environmental Health Centers.

She lives in Cobleskill, NY, and in her personal time, she enjoys acting and directing with the Theater Project of Schoharie County, discussing books with the Messy Housekeepers Book Club, and taking on DIY home improvement projects.
