Lead poisoning strikes children in NYCHA apartment

NYCHA assured Eleanor Bumpurs that her home in the Forest Houses was lead-free when her children tested positive for elevated blood lead levels. Then she learned the truth: her bathroom had lead paint. Her unit is one of over 24,000 apartments to test positive for the toxic chemical since 2018. Read more


Pennsylvania water utility sues chemical companies for PFAS

One of Pennsylvania's largest water utilities has sued 3M, DuPont and others, alleging the companies knew PFAS "forever chemicals" posed a hazard to the public. PFAS have been linked to birth defects, cancers, and other health effects. Read more
